Hi Ben,
Yes, you can do this with a 5NF XML data schema. You shouldn't do it with namespaces. That'll require code and may not work. You can do it with one namespace by just having a very normalized data schema. We've done it before. Makes the designer view huge (lots of conditional hide-show), but it works and is actually pretty ...

Hi NielDV,
Qdabra developed it's DBXL Web Service to address your need. It supports writing an XML node to SQL and that can be either the main data source or a secondary one. Free trial is available via Qdabra.com->Products and licensing is pretty cheap (starts <$500). Let us know if you have any questions. Should be a breeze ...

Hi Chris,
Just add another text box control and set conditional visibility to hide the dropdown if it's set to the "I'm not listed" and display the read-only text control with the e-mail address. Should be a piece of cake. Designer will look weird since you'll have two controls side by side, but runtime will be fine since ...

Hi Cedgmon,
I think it's possible but you will have to write code and make your form full trust.
Cheers,

Hi Albert Torres,
We do this all the time, so it's definitely possible, but you will need some extra tools to handle the SQL submits and email notifications. Check out Qdabra.com's DBXL which supports both and has a free trial install and licenses starting at just $500 or so. If you want to see a demo of this working, send me an e-mail ...

Why are you adding it to the FormState? That's what is causing the error. Can you declare a variable in your code and add it to that instead? Something public should work. Not sure why private won't work (please explain where you read that).

You could save the form as XML and open it in notepad on your local computer but that assumes Save is not disabled. If you have access to the Designer, you can re-enable Save. Regarding the unexpected XML node. Sounds like you are submitting your form as a string and the Web Service is not parsing it correctly. You'll need to make sure that ...

Have you tried submitting the entire XML as a string? When you create a Web service data connection to submit, you can specify sending the entire XML as a string. That's what Qdabra's DBXL (database accelerator) web service supports and it's easy to configure to send a repeating table. Free install of that Web Service is available via ...

Clay,
Regarding the same issue, can you shed some light into why my IP 2003/sql form works most of the times, but doesn't sometimes?
Basically, I have 3 views.
1 view is the main view and has a query section and a master detail control for the results. The details part has some buttons. One of these buttons submits to ...

Hello,
I would like to use the free logging component "Log4Net" (http://logging.apache.org/log4net/index.html) in my own web enabled forms. As I know that I can´t use private member variables in my code I would like to initialize the Log4Net object with a formstate variable.
But unfortunately if I used the following code:
private ...
