Since we are setting the command field to a string value, no need to click the "fx" button and put this in the formula editor. Just paste in the string. Please note there is a space between SetDefaultValue and /view. InfoPath may have removed that when you pasted it into the formula editor window because it is expecting valid XPath. ...

On finishedLoading, use the SetDefaultView qRules command. Set the command field to: SetDefaultView /view=YourViewNameHere

So, it looks like we have the same version. Interesting to hear that it sort of automagically sorts itself out. If you get any good info from Microsoft, do you mind posting it here? I just found a solution to an issue I was having today in a ten-year-old post on this forum, so there's a good chance any resolution you find might help someone in ...

A decade later and this post spared me some grief! Thanks - I had a SharePoint server with a site collection under sites and nothing at the root.

Hi, I already had this problem when I use a manage path "/sites/" and my root doesn't have a site I solve it when I create a blank site on ...

Not to my knowledge with an out of the box list form - you might want to check out FormsViewer (a product developed by Qdabra, the company I work for) - it has the ability to use rules to insert repeating items, so then you'd be able to have a "select all" button. If you just want to display all the secondary data available in a ...

You need to not use default values for Reviewer and Manager. Instead, use rules. So, when Employee Name changes, use rules to set the Reviewer and the Manager. Then, once the form has been submitted, you can disable those fields, if you like. I usually use a form status field for this - just add a field for status and set to "Submitted" ...

Yuck. So I just tested one of my libraries and that isn't happening for me .... yet. Can you check the version for your SharePoint online? Apparently this URL: https://yourtenant.sharepoint.com/_vti_pvt/service.cnf will return it (obviously, replace the first part of the URL with your tenant). That returns 16.0.0.21214 for me.....

Hmmm - I'm not sure I understand, but a lot of times when a form value changes and you don't expect it to, it may be because you are using default values with a secondary data connection. Feel free to attach a copy of your form under the options tab if you'd like me to take a look.

Qdabra has a tool called XLS to XML that will create an XML file for each row in a spreadsheet - this might work well for your scenario, because you could export your metadata to Excel, create the XML, then upload the XML to your new form library. Another option would be to have logic in your form that allows you to load the data from your ...

I think you would need to add a query to the list, so you could query the list and see if there were any items there that were created by the current user. You should be able to set that data connection to not query on load, and then in form load rules, set the query field for Created By to the current user, then run the query to see if a list ...
