Thanks. Have done that long ago.. As mentioned in my explanation, It works for some users... but not for others...
-
include the form template with the form when sending it via email. that should work fine

When I made the changes, the code passed through the debugger. However, when I tried to save the attachments I received the following.NullReferenceException was unhandled by user codeTroubleShooting tips:Use the “new” keyword to create an object instance
For this line,
String theAttachment2 = nn.text;

well the errors you recieve are not because of what you see on the form, the validation errors are because of validations in query fields

Hi
thanks for reading this q. I've created a form that emails the info to certain users.

however... for only one member so far.... it seems that all the user sees is the email with an .xml attacment instead of the form... when any other user opens the exact same email.... it ...

well your naming convention is causing you problem, every time you submit the form a new copy gets generated.
have a rule at open and save. Rule will be like
if name_field is blank
name_field = text + datetime
and in the submit connection use name_field as the name

This line should have nn.text, not n.text, and theAttachment2, not theAttachment:
String theAttachment2 = n.text;if (theAttachment.Length > 0)

I tried to alter the button with the following code.
[InfoPathEventHandler(MatchPath = "btnSave", EventType = InfoPathEventType.OnClick)]public void btnSave_OnClick(DocActionEvent e)
{
//Get a reference to the attachment node.IXMLDOMNode n = thisXDocument.DOM.selectSingleNode("my:myFields/my:theAttachmentField"); ...

The button's code can do as much or as little as you want it to do. You just need to figure out a design that makes sense.
-
Can I add more attachment fields to the save button, or do I need to add another save button?
Thanks
