Hello all. I have always received a lot of help from these forums and I hope today won't be any different.
I have a Form Library with a fully-trusted, administrator-approved form template which has been in use for 3 months. The users have now requested I add a new "urgency" field which I have done. When I am republishing the form I ...

Greetings,
I have a very simple Infopath form, with a data connection to our company's Software Training Calendar in SharePoint. I am trying to populate a drop-down list-box with all of the available events (Courses), The (calendar) list is set to display the maximum number of records. For some reason, the control only ...

Thanks, I'll try this.
How can I get the current name of the form and combine it with the DateTime.Now.ToString("s")?
I think this will give it the best chance at being unique.

I think this is a moot point actually because if I simply upload the xsn to a form library I don't think I'll be able to get it to open in a browser.

Ok - I just tested it in our evaluation version and I am not seeing the result I had hoped for.
Is it possible to push the XSN to a form library so the XSN itself is an item in the library? So users can open the template by clicking on the item and not using the New menu?
Does that make sense?

Thank you for the quick response. I believe you have answered my question.
If I'm reading you correctly once DBXL owns the xsn, I can use the tool in order to push that xsn to a form library.
The goal is to have libraries containing the actual XSN files so users can see them, open them, fill them out and submit them somewhere ...

Why is using Qdabra Web Services out of the question? Sounds like our Active Directory Web Service (which works fine with browser forms and doesn't require code) does this perfectly. In fact we even have a free template part that works in the browser and works like the Contact Selector that only works in the rich client: ...

In my form I have a number of sections. When filling in the form, if a user accidentally clicks on a read only field, the section it's in is selected and the form jumps to the top of the section.
Is there any way to stop this happening?

Hi Jason,
DBXL v2.3 needs to "own" the xsn. You attach the template to the DBXL Administration Tool and it gets accessed via that path you discovered (shown in the DAT General tab).
You can then add database and SharePoint mappings. However, DBXL still "owns" the xsn. DBXL can publish that XSN to a form library (or two, or ...

You can use DateTime.Now.ToString("s") to get the current date and time in the format 2010-03-16T23:34:14, which has a pretty good chance of being unique.
