When you injected qRules, did you select the Rich Client option?

Hi, agavoky - I did understand you. I was making a suggestion for how you might accomplish this if your form submit to SharePoint. Do they? Or do they submit to SQL? If not, unique numbering is going to be pretty challenging - and even if they do, it can be hard.

Where do you save your filled out forms? SharePoint? If so, you could get the max ID from the SharePoint library right before you submit the form and increment it by 1 - there is always a risk that two people will end up with the same number, but querying the library right before you submit minimizes that.

Oh, you are going to need the eval function for this! Here is a link with more info: http://www.bizsupportonline.net/infopath2010/infopath-math-functions-repeating-fields-input.htm

Hi - this is an interesting question - it is not something I have tried. Have you given it a shot and run into issues?

Hi!
Since you are using a data connection in your form for this, you won't need too much magic, only a little.
You'll need the XPath to the field in the data connection that will have the value - does that field show in the data source task pane?
To get data from your secondary data ...
-
Maybe try setting it to a default formula in the data source task pane? See if that overrides the entries you have in the default data?

Salut -

Sorry I didn't get back to you on the earlier issue - I've never seen that dialog before - is the form based off a web service, by chance?
You have a "<" before your second translate in the formula that is giving you an error, I'd start with that.....
