So, yeah, the data set is updated each time. But you can set more query fields, as long as you are using equivalence (i.e. Status = Submitted and CurrentApprover = userName()). What helped me understand query fields better was dragging the query and data fields onto the form canvas, and adding a button to run the query. Then I could try various ...

I've seen forms before with multiple submit rules that submit "copies" with new names to the same library - I anticipate you could add a number of different submit data connections and just use a bunch of submit rules to handle this. You'd need to have a field in the form's schema (doesn't have to show on the form) to use ...

Looks like you have OvercapcityBeds with a default, and then you also have rules on that field, setting that same field. I would definitely do something different there. Get rid of the default and the rules on that field, just put rules on UnoccupiedRule with conditions to set it correctly. Your first rule on UnoccupiedRule could be to set ...

I don't think this is going to be possible out of the box. It may be better to use a tool that generates PDFs from InfoPath (like Muhimbi) and use SharePoint Workflow to send your emails.

Yes I tried to disable one of the rules and it would not give the math function for that field.

When I look at your form's schema, I see the attached - these are multi-selects. You aren't going to be able to associate a given qty w/ a given price in this structure. You need to change your list.

Any chance I can see a copy of your form? You can attach it under the Options tab in a reply. In general, when I'm trying to debug something like this, I disable one rule and test, then disable another and so on. Does the unoccupied beds field use a default? Or are there rules on overcapacity and remaining that set it? If you use rules on ...

Hi Hilary,
Thanks for your reply. The repeating fields are strings, but I assume they must be numbers. Let's consider I made numbers, how can I get the amount from quantity and price? I was thinking to use the eval function to get the values of price repeating table like this:100;200; and the quantity repeating table like this: 1;2; and ...

I am not a great story teller, but I think me telling a story will let you guys understand where my error is coming from. I am somewhat of a novice at InfoPath.
I have two fields. Both of these fields are pulling from a support list on SharePoint. When an item is picked from a drop down to identify the unit, ...

I'm working with InfoPath 2013 and need to create a Validation rule to make a field required based on a specific value in a list box control. I've done validation rules before, but not one like this.
Is this even possible?
Thanks,
John
