I follow the instruction to add a contact selector to a form. I get an error "Your current security settings prohibit running activeX on this page" and unable to insert the control. I'm confused by what you mean by this: The Insert Item text is working as it should be, but the fields have disappered from the table row. You can still add more rows, but they're all blank. Aren't new new rows in a repeating table typically blank?  Do you mean the values in the rows can't be edited?  I'm not 100% ...

there is no code less approach for this, and this is not recommended, because this way there are chances of changes being overwritten.

 to make a view read only go to the properties of the view -> General and check read only. this will make this view read only
