Hi Not used Record Centre before but does it utilise the same sort of "Form Library" that the team site does, if it does not then that would be the source of your problem. It has to be to do with the way SharePoint interfaces with the info from InfoPath as it works on a team site form library but not on the Record Centre Cheers

Hi  Does your web service update every time the form is opened? If it does that could be the source of your problem.  Either way the web service is interfering with the data due to something changing in the form.  Look at things like default values or similar to root out the source. Cheers

Hi As clay says if you link a form an initial design stage to a database then that data can be linked to an excel spreasheet through Microsoft Query to regularly refresh the data, each time the sheet is opened.  If you want a hand on this give me a shout as have done it in the past for some of my projects.
