The 5,000 item limit can be a hassle to deal with. In this scenario if you have almost 5,000 items per year it may make sense to publish your form as a content type, and then dynamically create new lists to submit. I would recommend using the current ... Posted to Qdabra qRules (Forum) by Bre Huston on 04-16-2015 Re: Editing a list with a form Hello Guy, Thanks for your question! The method you are describing would be Submitting to a SharePoint List. In this method, the data must be brought into the main data source of your form to be mapped back out. For the scenario you are describing, qRules would be the best method, however it does require the publisher to be a site collection ... If this I a 2010 browser form the best solution may be to: 1. Disable the ribbon 2. Use buttons for Save/Submit/Close that use custom rules not the default submits 3. Set up a submit data connection to your library 4. Create a rule on the button to ... Posted to Browser Forms (Forum) by Bre Huston on 04-16-2015 Re: Infopath validation Hello DDEBBABY, You would need to promote that column on submit, as well as a date field. On submit, you would query data in the library for dates of the same request with Start and or end time at 5pm to prevent a user from submitting a request if it is outside of the parameters. Hope that helps! Bre Posted to General (Forum) by Bre Huston on 04-02-2015 Re: Sync old forms with new DBXL setup Hello tenbao, Which version of SharePoint are you using? If you're in 2013 you can use the event receiver to sync your forms to DBXL. If you're in 2010, you could do a bulk upload/migration to dbxl and then reupload to SharePoint so that all your XML would hve the DBXL pi and DocID's. Let me know and I can get more ... It is somehow rooted in the connection of the SharePoint site to your local desktop and instance of InfoPath. In order to force the connection, I will often close all browser instances, log back into the SharePoint site and download the published form copy ... Posted to Data Connections (Forum) by Bre Huston on 04-02-2015 Re: auto number Hello DDEBBABY, You'll need to run those rules on your submit. Rules only fire when a field changes, and currently there's not anything changing the field. Additionally, you will want to use the ID field from your queried data source in the secondary RetrieveIDs, not the field in the main. Let me know if you need more help! Bre Posted to General (Forum) by Bre Huston on 04-02-2015 Re: Form Library keeping Infopath field format properties Hello BigRedNole, I think you may not be promoting the properties in the publishing process. A better process is to create your site columns on the site, and then use those columns when you promote properties on publish. Also check that the data types of your columns, match the field types in the IP form. Hope that helps! Bre Posted to Newbie Questions (Forum) by Bre Huston on 03-26-2015 Re: Email submit Hello DDEBBABY, I have attached a fixed up version, that I think will accomplish your goal. I am assuming that you wanted the email value in the manager dropdown. Take a look at the properties there. I have changed the value to be the email, not the title. Next, I changed your data connection to use that value for the To: field of the email data ... Posted to General (Forum) by Bre Huston on 03-26-2015 Re: (401) Unauthorized, while connecting to a web service Hello Shmul, In this instance you're going to want to convert the data connection file to a udcx. You can then use your app pool credentials to authenticate the data connection. I attached a udcx for your reference, but the line you will want to edit in the udcx you create is this: <!--udc:Authentication><udc:SSO ...
