No need to write code to do this. You can use our InfoPath plugin, qRules v2.3, to do this too. Lots of other features that you need. Qdabra pays for this free forum and sells qRules and other inexpensive tools to help defray the cost of maintaining the forum. Our goal is to respond to 90% of all posts. We appreciate your support.

Which Web Service are you using? DBXL handles this fine.

Hi Drake,
Best practices:
Filter your ShP list so you only pull down only the Project IDs that you want (pulling down everything could result in a delay when you open the form)

I was able to design a new template based on an XSD in 2007. What I'm trying to do is update the template when the XSD changes without redesigning the whole form. Is that possible?
Thanks!

Did you do as I suggested twice so far and turn off the option to query the data source when the form is opened? If not, it will still be querying the web service with an empty string as a parameter, and that will cause that error if you try to use Substring() on it.

I need to create a field in a form that will generate a drop down menu based on the members of a group. The SharePoint group is automatically populated by Active Directory. The purpose would allow a manager to assign that form to one of several people in a group via a drop down menu. This would also be a browser based form. ...
