So much depends on the structure of these files. I think if the data you are wanting to return to form 1 is repeating inside form 2, you may have a hard time with this. One option might be to save the repeating data out of the form by submitting it separately to a SharePoint list, using code, CAML, or qRules.

I've not had this happen - you aren't making any changes to the form schema, or rebinding a section that other controls or sections are inside of?

I have never seen this - can you attach your template to a reply under the Options tab? Is this a SharePoint List form?

Maybe just add a form load rule that recalculates everything when the item is re-opened?

Oh, excellent - I knew that it would display if it had rich text, but couldn't remember which control it did not display correctly in - I guessed wrong. :) Thanks for the update!

I'm not sure if a standard list data connection is going to return the rich text info - a quick test would be to put a calculated value on the form bound to the field in the secondary data source and preview to see if the bullets (or whatever the RT formatting is) shows up. But yah, if what you really want is for items in your form to ...

Are you using the RefreshListItems command? If so, you should just be able to mark the field as rich text in your mapping. If not, there is a command that copies rich text.

Okay, so you are already creating a folder? You just need to add a file with some field values?
https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/wt3h7b61.aspx may also help you, but here is a simple code sample. Your XPath won't be my:myFields/my:field1 or my:myFields/my:field2 - right click the nodes you want data from in the data ...

You can always try it. Just save a copy of the form and see if signing it with a org cert lets you use it. I kind of don't think that is going to work - I think if full trust templates aren't allowed, it won't matter the signing cert - but it might.

I think you'll just have to convince them to let you allow full trust forms. I don't know of a way to only allow a specific full trust form. Are you able to make changes in the InfoPath Trust Center?
