We are developing an infopath form which is pretty big. We have around 38 views and the code behind is around 3500 lines of code. When ever I try to open the code behind I get an error, "Infopath has encountered an error. The operation failed". I tried to remove the code behind and add it back. Still the same thing.

Make sure the site is not in the trusted sites. That won't work if the form has code. It must be in Local Intranet. Try repairing Office install. That might do it.

Have you published the form or just saved it? Try publishing and send your colleague the published XSN.  

Hi MatiasViv, Create a unique name for your form (for example, concat username + datetime) and then query the form library after submitting the form and filter for that name to get the ID. Then, set the ID and submit again with the ID in the form.

Why do you have 300 data connections? That sounds like a broken design. You should try to consolidate your external data into less connections. You can write code to connect to data connections and the data connections can be hardcoded in the form so that UDCX files don't have to be downloaded first.  

Hi,  Is there any other data connection for Infopath, beside udcx connection? Because I can't use udcx data connection as it is too heavy to load 300 connections in 1 form. Thanks :)

 hello Paddy, first republish the form, then upload the form. if that doesn't solve the problem,  set the version number of your old template by opening the old template it design mode go to tools -> form options -> versioning and update the version number manually and then republish the form, upload it again and it should ...
