Hi Catharine,
You could use our File Picker Control and convert the attachments to links. The links just open the forms from DBXL directly. The File Picker control also has support for adding new file attachments and this is what you can conditionally hide. Check out Mel's blog on the Image Picker Control (which is basically the same) and let ...

Hi Gus,
qRules contains support to update and roundtrip items from a SharePoint list and you could use BCS to map the list to a SQL table but there are limitations: for example, you have to set up BCS, the mapping is tightly coupled, etc.. In general, we recommend using Web Services to submit to SQL directly. Qdabra's DBXL Web Service has ...

Hi,
I have a number of File Attachment Controls.
I want to be able to allow certain users to attach documents, and other users to be able to view the documents, but not delete or edit them.
I have used conditional formatting and "disabled" the control. But the users who need to look at the documents are unable to open ...

Well, that seems to be the problem: I think I have a pretty good idea *what* to change/test/try, but I have no idea *how* I can change it :)
Where am I doing it currently? In my SetDate data connection. It submits data to my opened excel workbook (opened in a previous step of my rules) using the _vti_bin/excelservice.asmx, function SetCellA1, ...

The form appears in the email, however when you open the attachement I get the following error:
a window appears say "New from Existing Document"; I cannot create new, but why would I have to? It errors out the email ...

Well, I know it's a bit of a hack, but just add a bunch of rules to your first dropdown list that sets a separate hidden field to be true if any of those SuppCats are selected. Then, add a conditional formatting rule to your "Fine Print" section that comparies that separate field and the second dropdown value and there you have it. ...

Hi James,
You will need to convert to use the InfoPath 2003 Object Model. I'm not sure if that has DrectoryServices or not. If you have <1000 lines of code it's not too hard to do the conversion, but you may spend less money by just purchasing Qdabra's Active Directory Web Service and removing all of the code from your form. This ...

When you set the input fields, I'm assuming you are setting fields in a different row in your repeating table/section. To set the correct values you have to use xpath with the count of the table (if you are setting the last item) or the index to the item that you want to set. Are you specifying that when you do the set field in the rule? If ...

Unfortunately, the work I am doing is material-sensitive so I can't really send the form out.
What do you think is the alternative to code? I'll do whatever I have to to get this resolved. I looked up some tutorials online where people are using current() method but it seems my default value field has to use up that spot because the data ...
