Hi, I don't know exactly what you want to do on you form, in my case when I select on a drop down wich is bind to a sharepoint list I set some RT value to my Infopath Field. So I set an "On Changed" event on my drop down field and I usesome code to populate my RT field.

At work, I'm having issues even accessing the Script editor because it tries to tell me I don't have the programming part installed for InfoPath (which I do)... sometimes I can get it to bug and let me do it, ha...   I'm not totally sure I understand qRules entirely. ...

Nope, I don't know of a codeless way to write to an XML file from an InfoPath form. Your title said XML file or SharePoint List, so I thought this woule be an acceptable solution?

Hi Matias, sorry, I don't quite understand. why are you "adding another data connection"? Are you using that to get the string value for error message? If so, why not just query the Web service if it fails. You can use another rule for that. Sorry, I don't quite understand your question though.

Hi Donna, Curious that you should ask that question. We've been trying to get that exact same scenario to work for the last two weeks and we have been unsuccessful. We can't figure it out. If we do find a solution, we'll try to remember to post here. Sorry!
