1.) At first this form did not contain any code or rules.... i published it to a form library and all fields promoted

Thank you. I am fairly new to teaching myself SharePoint, so I don't have the background to follow your reply. Is it that it will require coding or using SharePoint Designer to accomplish automating the publishing of an InfoPath template once the user fills it out into the web part of a site?

In the Function Editor dialog. You should use the Select Field... button to select each of the fields, and put plus signs between them.
