Hi Rodney Madho,
Welcome to the Forum!
Till now we have not come across this situation, but as far as I know we do not have any functionality to set one forms value based on an event on some other form.
If you find anything info regarding this please share it with us.
Thanks

There is an easy way for this Wayne, You need to maintain a variable in InfoPath's secondary dataconnection and filter your data based on that.
As Per your example if ''John Doe'' is pulled up in the app you will put this value in the secondary xml.
Once you put the value in the secondary xml its all InfoPath's work to filter the data in the UI. ...

Hi Wayne, Welcome to the Forum!
If I understood your question correctly, Yes filtering can be done using VB.net code for an existing InfoPath form.

I am not sure whether this is right solution.
Make a copy of your existing InfoPath solution place an extra button in the UI which will call the code behind to export as .mht
In the code what you will do is read the InfoPath XML files in a loop and set them to main dom, once you set it to main dom you can export the forms through the ...

Hi binhxe, Welcome to the Forum!
1. Yes it is possible to do this kind of application with InfoPath and c#.
2. You dont need to call webservice through c#. You can call it with InfoPath itself, and populate InfoPath's main xml with the data.
You can find some info about this in

I was looking at thisxdocument.UI object, there is method called ''SetSaveAsDialogFileName'' method. This method prefills the filename in the save dialog box's filename area.
This method takes one ''string'' argument that is filename.
This maynot solve your problem totally but will help you to some extent.

You cannot submit a form to sharepoint with restricted security.
You need to have ''Automatically determine security level based on form design''(Domain Trust) or above(Full trust). So your second error was bound to happen with restricted security.
I am not sure why you got the first error, I was able to submit the form ...

Please let us know if you have any additional info.
Thanks!

Hi Jovix,
Welcome to the Forum!
I dint see any direct way to set filename on saving the form.
We can access filename from ''SaveEvent'', but cannot change filename property on ''SaveEvent'' object because it is a readonly property.
We can set filename when the form is submitted instead of saved.
If you find a way to set filename on save please ...
