Just thought I'd update this. It looks like the web service I was using did not prompt for credentials and used my windows authentication log on at run time. I changed the web service to prompt for the credentials to see the definition and infopath then began prompting for them just as it does with a SQL server connection.

I created a workflow in Visual Studio 8 that sends email based on fields in a SharePoint form library. These fields are populated by an InfoPath form. This workflow works great on one server, but on the other server I get an unspecified error until I relink the document. Before I relink, the heading in my template.xml starts ...

Actually, what I meant was have a single field that considered the 2 other conditions involved so that you only had to add one condition to each field's validation (along with the field itself being blank).
You can use a custom expression for a condition, and thus get past the "5 conditions limitation" -- like:

Hi Hilary
Are there any new XPath functions in IP2010? If so, what can they do? Thanks.
Yes, there is a new section called URL that contains SharePointListURL, SharePointServerRootURL, SharePointSiteCollectionURL, and SharePointSiteURL. I haven't noticed any others, but I also haven't done a one-for-one ...

Joe, it's highly advisable not to mix and match Office versions. If you plan to use InfoPath 2010, then you should upgrade your whole Office suite to 2010 or use a different machine just for InfoPath 2010. I haven't experienced what you're describing, but I can assure you that there other nasty issues that will also arise ...
