Hilary,
thanks for taking the time. I know my post got confusing, but I think you understood. I have copied my .xsn file for review. on the default view is where I am currently working. The field "Maintenance Categorisation" is a radio select. Below this is a repeating table with 9 default values, one for each option of the ...

I did that but still nothing.
Are buttons able to Query the data and then set a data field?
I don't think that Variable A is changing, the rules aren't recognizing the conditions I am setting - so it isn't switching views.
My brain is hurting :)

Thanks Hilary for your suggestions. The data connection wizard doesn't work ( IP2010 closes down and restarts and I get the same error in the Even Viewer : Event ID 1000 Faulting application name : INFOPATH.EXE, faulting module name IPDESIGN.DLL Exception code 0xc0000005 ). I ...

You may want to try walking through the data connection wizard again for those.
As to your initial error -- does it happen ...

Hi, Catharine:
I've attached a sample form that I think does what you want. I started with more complex approaches to filtering the second multiselect, but turned out not to need them -- just a simple "Field from repeating group is equal to field bound to multiselect" worked in my case -- I am using IP 2010 (I remember with IP ...

You can add a new button on your form and show the number of Errors from the Errors collection, because I think that you add the error to the Errors collection in the Validating or Changed event of that boolean node, so when you try to submit the form the error is still there so that's the reason you can't submit the form. ...

Hi,
Just to be clear from the getgo, I'm talking about the user forms in SharePoint lists and libraries (EditForm.aspx, DispForm.aspx).
This is probably a very stupid question but I would like to know some possible options. My company wants a very user friendly and robust editting interface when modifying or creating sharepoint list ...
