Ladies and Gents,
I have a slight problem! I have an electronic Purchase Form (designed in IP2010) and on the form is a drop down selector that is linked to a list of suppliers used by the company. Basically you select the supplier you want from the list - easy! However.... the guy in Purchasing wanted a new list, as the ...

Hi, I have searched the net and I did not find any approach related to the approach im thinking. And since I'm here, I would like to know if this is possible:

Weird. You can try debugging it by adding a popup dialog action after the submit that say "Got past Submit" and see if it shows. If it doesn't it means the submit failed. You should see an error if submit fails though. Is there any code in your form, for example an OnSubmit event handler? If so, that might be the culprit. I ...

Thanks for the reply, Patrick. I guess I wasn't clear in my post. We are using rules instead of the standard submit action. I tried the submit action after our rules didn't close the form. We do have the overwrite file function enabled. And we do have a close form action after the submit to data connection action.

Use qRules SetValue command. Should be documented in the User Guide. You can also use the square bracket operators to set a specific row position and thereby set a value, but qRules is a lot easier and I believe you have that.

Maybe Submit is failing and that's why it isn't working because you haven't enabled overwrite or something silly like that. Go to Submit Options and see what your settings are. You can always change from a Submit button to a button that has a rule with an action that submits, followed by an action that closes, etc.

We have a form that has three views. The user opens the form to the first (default) view and fills out some information. After the user has provided the required info, a Next button appears at the bottom of the form. When the user clicks Next, the next view appears. Again, the user must enter required information. When he does, he clicks Submit ...

Sorry to break it to you -- but that will require code (or could probably be managed with qRules). You won't be able to bind a repeating table to two repeating groups. One work around would be to use the same repeating group whether the user selects "Person" or "Charity" -- but use conditional formatting to not show ...
