So - the issue here is that your calculated value with "REV by" at the beginning of it is using data from the Revision field (field2) which is outside of the repeating history group - looks like your comments field does have change tracking on. So that data is not actually being saved in the repeating group - it is part of the main form ...

Thanks - totally missed that. I'll take a look later today.

So, it sounds like you are saying this is a SharePoint list form? And is the comment field rich text with versioning?
-
Well - an InfoPath email form would pre-suppose the end user (i.e. the email recipient) has InfoPath installed. Which is more and more unlikely! So, I don't think this is likely to work....

I'm not sure what the "edit view" is you are mentioning. Is this the same thing as the list view where the user is clicking export to excel? And this is SharePoint on prem 2013? I just tried adding a calculated column to my list and as long as it is not in the list default view, it isn't included in the export.

Here's a simple sample form - right click the link, and save the file locally. Right click the file and select Design. Then you can preview it. I don't quite understand your description of what is not working as anticipated in your form. Perhaps you could attach a sample under the options tab in a reply?

I can't repro this. When I export to Excel, only the columns in the view are included. So, perhaps you need to not display those columns in your list view? I tested in both SharePoint Online and a SharePoint 2013 list and in both cases, only the columns from the current view (along with two system columns, Item Type & Path) were included.

Excellent. For whatever reason, it looks like the form hadn't saved those credentials you wanted to use - we generally shouldn't have to manually modify InfoPath form files, but sometimes it is the fastest way to fix a problem....
-
So - you could try manually modifying that connection string to use the credentials you want.
Remove:
Integrated Security=SSPI;
Replace with the SQL credentials you want to use:
Password=YOURPASSWORD;User ID=YOURUSERID;
Save the changes to manifest.xsf. Close it. Right click on manifest.xsf and select Design - it will open in design mode. ...

To save the form as source files, go to the publish menu. There is an option there to export the form to source files. Do not do this with the published form - just your local copy. Then you'll find the manifest.xsf file in the saved files. Probably easiest to search for the name of your SQL server and then you should be able to find the ...
