• Re: Is InfoPath the right solution for my project?

Hello Mr. Galloway and welcome to the forums! I would like to say first and foremost that your dedication and diligence on looking for answers for yourself is beyond outstanding! Thank you and I would be more than happy to offer what advice I may. It seems like you have grand ambitions for this project, but I think it can be done with InfoPath, ...

  • Re: Appendchild onload problem

    Hi Shaun, I think I see your problem. and it's with these two lines: thisXDocument.DOM.selectSingleNode(''/my:myFields/my:CodeConcat['' & i & '']/my:Federal'').text = Code + '', '' + sName thisXDocument.DOM.selectSingleNode(''/my:myFields/my:CodeConcat['' & iState & '']/my:State'').text = Code2 + '', '' + sName2 In both loops you are looping ...

  • Re: Secondary datasource webservice from code

Hi Jim, Thanks for the detailed post, but we don't really have time to read every line of your code. Can you paste just the section that is giving you an error and also the error message that you are receiving? I have a hunch that this problem is happening because of a namespace issue.

  • Re: Data type when connecting to SQL 2005 Database

Hi Jason and welcome to the forums! Are you seeing this error from the InfoPath Designer or when you submit? In my experience you don't need to change the checkboxes to 0/1 as long as the SQL data type is 'bit'. If you insert the value of 'true' into a bit field the database should convert that to the 0/1 that you are looking for. Have you ...

  • Re: Disable Menu Bar Control "Save"

Hi Philippe, If you are going to use the CommandBars object instead of the function in the Form Options dialog, then you will need to disable each one of the Save buttons individually. CommandBars disables a specific button, not a functionality (such as save), so you will have to have a line for every one of the save buttons that you wish to ...

  • Re: Custom task panes/error/debug

Hi schung, Man, this sounds weird. When do you get this bug - preview mode, open mode? Does your custom task pane contain any script, and have you checked this script for errors? Do you have any code that talk to the custom task pane? Sorry for all the questions, I'm just trying to figure out your situation a little better.

  • Re: Forms in Browser Problem

Hey zeebubble, I haven't worked with this too much, but you might try using the Design Checker (Tools -> Design Checker) to make sure there are no problems with the design. I think conditional formatting will throw this off, but you'll want to run the Design Checker just in case. Don't forget to change the compatibility settings for the ...

  • Re: Add a row to a repeating table from javascript

Hey Eric, This has been discussed several times on the forum and it seems like you have found one of the best code snippets around. If you are having trouble adapting the code found in the post I would suggest downloading the InfoPath SDK (which can be found on a link on the left side of this page) and looking up each of the functions to ...

  • Re: OnAfterChange process 2 times, Why?

Hi Jim, The OnAfterChange fires once for deleting the old value, and then again for inserting the new value. To look at only the times when it is inserting the new value (which will likely be all you will ever need), try modifying this section of your code: If eventObj.IsUndoRedo Or eventObj.Operation Not Equal To ''Insert'' Then ' An undo or ...
