  • Exclusive Checkbox

I have been trying to find a way to have a checkbox in a repeating table, where no matter how many rows are added only on boxed can be selected at a time. I thought I found the solution, but when I published it out, the functionality was lost. It appears to only work within the client. I have attached a copy of the original template I ...

  • Re: How to always have submit hidden after save is clicked without programming

are these buttons, ones you added? If yes, I went to one button and added a set of rules. I started with a hidden field called FileName. On open this field is blank, On button click I do 3 actions: 1. Set this fields value, to my concat string 2. Submit using my submit data connection 3. Close the form: No Prompt If FileName is not blank, ...

  • Re: Data Connection efficiency

Hi, I think you will run into performance problems with a huge record set like that if you use the InfoPath data connections to connect to a SharePoint list.  InfoPath will bring back the entire list and any filtering you do will happen in the form.  The larger the list the more time it will take.  The best way to do this is to ...

  • Re: Newbie question: Published .xsn file showing as garbled mess in IE browser. How do I embed as a website?

Hi Derek, It's a client issue really - if you don't have IPFS and the user doesn't have Filler installed on their machine IE is often the default HTML editor so it just opens in IE.  You might be able to change preferences in windows to do something else. Ted

  • How to always have submit hidden after save is clicked without programming

I have the following for save/submit buttons using InfoPath 2007 web based form on SharePoint: Field "Increment" - Whole Number - default 0 Note: save button always visible 1) Submit is hidden because of Conditional Format: Increment "is equal" 0 - Hide this control 2) Save button is clicked resulting in submit becoming ...

  • Re: Can InfoPath 2010 query an Active Directory Security Group?

I am pretty sure the Person/Group picker works with SharePoint which would explain why you can't get it to work. You can write your own web service to do this that is probably your best option but I don't think you will ever get that done in less time/cost than the amount you would pay for our tool to do this! • Designing a Form for my company

Hello all--  I'm new to InfoPath and definitely need some help with this one. I have been asked to design a form that can be used by Customer Service staff to take in initial information from potential clients at our rental facility. I would like to be able to take in information like name, telephone/email contact info,  event type, ...

  • Re: Enabling repeating table fields

Hi, it appears that this form schema is based upon an external schema like a database? If that is the case you will need to add the fields in that location first and then update the form. Ted

  • Re: InfoPath 2010 install on a SharePoint 2007 Server

Have you tried reaching out to the maker of the PDF convertor?  They may have tested this scenario since their product requires InfoPath be installed on the server.  There could be something going on here because InfoPath and SharePoint 2010 have the "sandbox" for browser forms (no more need to admin deploy) and something with ...

  • Re: How to hide ribbon components

Hi Mike, If I am wrong someone else will chime in but I am pretty sure you don't have control over the ribbon.  Those are user set and InfoPath just opens based upon whatever the user had setup as far as ribbon and taskpane the previous time they opened InfoPath. If you go into Form Options | Filler Features you can see a list of things ...
