I believe that you won't be able to open the already filled forms again if you publish the form to the same library. So I'd say publish the form to a new library.

I got it sorted out now. I had Text (String) selected as the Data Type in the drop down list where the filter was. Changing that to Whole Number (Integer) and re-creating the filter fixed my problem! As I suspected, InfoPath was not handling my values as numbers but instead comparing them as text strings, which was the simple but hard to find ...

Hi,
I am using InfoPath Desginer to publish an InfoPath form to Sharepoint 2010. I have made modifications to the form (new fields, updated calculations etc.) and wanted to publish the updates to sharepoint. There are already 50 completed forms on the sharepoint and I wanted to ensure that the existing data would not be overwritten/deleted. All ...

Hi David,
Filtering isn't supported in InfoPath Form Services under MOSS 2007. It seems to work more in SharePoint 2010 but it's not a slam dunk. Several people have blogged on this site how to do filtering in browser based forms. Setting a value or querying a data connection will work just fine in the browser. It's just that ...

Hi YuwenLanxing,
The input parameters should still work even if it's local. The challenge is the path. InfoPath will parse the command that is used to launch it and look for input parameters to the right of a question mark. For example: c:/temp/template.xsn?p1=v1&p2=v2. InfoPath will load p1 and p2 with values v1 and v2. To access these ...

If you have a map, you can use a filter in the dropdown. Otherwise, you can use a rule for the users. If you have >20 users, I recommend creating a map. If you have >100 users, I recommend using Qdabra's Active Directory Web Service, which will return Active Directory details for all users so that you can set it automatically.
