Again - The control definition file does not have a valid format.

Your system just ate my complete explanation...  because it was a duplicate post???  What a waste of time!!!

Any way - I am trying to create a new template part that uses a Qdabra based name finder.  I keep getting an error saying the file did not save properly - to fix the errors and try again.  There are no errors showing anywhere...

When I try to attach the control, I get the subject message.  The file extension is correct.

I have re-built the thing several times to no avail!!!

Any idea as to what may be wrong with it???  I am using Infopath 2007.

    Hi Donna,

Sorry the forum is not totally bulletproof for fast posters like you! :) I do see both posts though. Here's the first one: http://www.infopathdev.com/forums/t/19842.aspx No feasting has been foisted upon your fabulous keystrokes. :)

When you say Qdabra-based name finder, are you referring to Active Directory? Are you creating the XTP and adding it to a form? Do you see the error at that time or later?

I can also give you a call on Wednesday to look at your problem in a Live Meeting session. We've been lovin XTPs these days but there are a few hidden gotchas that one has to watch out for. Email me and we'll Live Meeting up.

    More soon,
