Well the issue with publishing to /test/ when I'm in my dev environment is that I'll get an error saying the specified server does not exist. I was thinking I might do something like set up /test/ within my dev network, but I have more than one place I'm deploying to, one is a staging environment and one is production, neither ...

Okay, it makes sense now. I followed your suggestion, and now I have both submits working.
Thank you for all of your help!

You are submitting to the data connection qRules uses to submit list items.
Your submit rule should be an action, to set a field's value. That field should be the qRules Command field. The value should be the same thing you are using in the button you had on your form that said "submit" on it -

changing the postback settings on my button fixed the submit issue.
for the ribbon button, i changed the submit options to perform custom action using Rules. Then i created a new form submit rule to use the data connection that qRules is using to submit the form. It seems to work, but the entries is creates are empty.

Oh, and I should also mention - we've disabled your forum email subscriptions because I guess the email associated with your forum profile is having delivery issues? You may want to update that email address.

Hi!
What are the postback settings on your button? Try setting to "Always" (under the control properties). Your submit button is running a rule - if you change your form's submit options to use rules, you can then set the same rules there - then the submit button in the ribbon toolbar can also be used to run your qRules commands.

I have followed the instructions here http://www.infopathdev.com/blogs/janice/archive/2009/03/03/administrator-approved-form-templates.aspx to publish my form to allow users to fill it via the browser. No ...

This is my current code using nested loops. It correctly fills in my first ID value, but apparently exiting the internal while loop does not allow me to continue storing values when it comes around again. Any ideas?

Hi - I'm pretty sure for item 1 that you'll need to republish the template to specify the server you intend to upload it to. You may simply want to check that - put in http://test/ when you publish, and try to upload to http://dev/
As to question 2, the Context.xml is used by the contact selector when previewing the form - once published ...

I saw this same problem in a student's form. One method to "fix" it is to remove the hanging indent from the Word document and recreate it (not optimal I agree). I couldn't find any other way to fix it. I even tried making a new text field, but as soon as I mapped it to the original field, the hanging indent problem was ...
