    SubmitToSharePointList - WebEnabled Form issue

I have created a form and used the qRules SubmitToSharePointList. This part works great, and submits the information to the list as expected. I have followed the instructions here http://www.infopathdev.com/blogs/janice/archive/2009/03/03/administrator-approved-form-templates.aspx to publish my form to allow users to fill it via the browser. No problems with uploading or accessing the form. The problem comes when the user clicks on the submit button on the form. Nothing is posted to the list, but if i click on the print preview button (on the ribbon) the information is posted. Seems like the action is not being triggered when the button is clicked. Also is it possible to configure the submit button on the ribbon toolbar to submit the form? Thanks, Jason

    Hi!

What are the postback settings on your button? Try setting to "Always" (under the control properties). Your submit button is running a rule - if you change your form's submit options to use rules, you can then set the same rules there - then the submit button in the ribbon toolbar can also be used to run your qRules commands.

Oh, and I should also mention - we've disabled your forum email subscriptions because I guess the email associated with your forum profile is having delivery issues? You may want to update that email address.

changing the postback settings on my button fixed the submit issue. for the ribbon button, i changed the submit options to perform custom action using Rules. Then i created a new form submit rule to use the data connection that qRules is using to submit the form. It seems to work, but the entries is creates are empty.

You are submitting to the data connection qRules uses to submit list items.

Your submit rule should be an action, to set a field's value. That field should be the qRules Command field. The value should be the same thing you are using in the button you had on your form that said "submit" on it -

    SubmitToSharePointList /submit=submitTaskItems /mapping=mappingCorpTaskItems

Okay, it makes sense now. I followed your suggestion, and now I have both submits working. Thank you for all of your help! Jason
