Hi Lou
You might want to look at that chart with 288 text fields and the conditional formatting, I am guessing that is where a lot of your load time probably is.
Your post reminded me of a thread I read a while back where performance was discussed in detail and the forms they were talking about seem to be a lot bigger than ...

Hi Cam,
You may not need InfoPath 2007 to do the Excel dump. If the infoPath forms are being submitted to a SharePoint library and you are promoting all the fields form the form to SharePoint, SharePoint supports a direct export to Excel.

Hi Bram,
The InfoPath blog put up a new post about calculating elapsed time a couple of weeks ago. I don't know if this is going to work in your browser based form but this might work or at least you give you a good starting point!

Hope that helps

For the SQL data you will want to examine the permissions model used for the SQL DB - that is how you would typeically control access to the data that you shred from the InfoPath form. As far as the forms that are saved to SharePoint you will want to take a look at this MSDN article that outlines the various methods you can use to ...

Hi mRahman,
First of all when you say you are working with a SharePoint form library and an ''approval workflow'' are you talking about using SharePoint 2007 workflow with an InfoPath form? Such as this:http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms548723.aspx?
Regardless the InfoPath side of showing a read only view of the form once the form has ...

Hi Mario,
What about a rich text field? You have to be able bind the data in the web service to a control of some kind in InfoPath. Are you looking to be able to manipulate the text as you might in Word or in a web page?

Hi Salebeck and welcome to the InfoPathDev forums.
You can use a web service to do this, this is a very common use of InfoPath.
Have you taken a look at this tutorial on MSDN:
