If you check the documentation I referenced, you'll find that your assumption is incorrect. You can find the same info here: https://support.office.com/en-ie/article/web-browser-compatibility-in-infopath-forms-services-0356450c-82ec-40a5-b145-c7e935f73fdc - note that while the table indicates IP 2007, the top of the page indicates the info is ...

Hi Hilary
I assume that there are Submit options in Info Path Designer to submit back to Database.
I will be publishing these forms to SharePoint Online.

Ok, so if this is a browser form - how were you planning on submitting back to your database? Use a web service? Use code? https://support.office.com/en-gb/article/submit-form-data-to-a-microsoft-sql-server-database-15fd82dc-8077-4737-bc13-94d993bc84af has information on the restrictions with DB bound forms in the browser. I see,
Yes all we require is that the associated approver email is saved in a column with that request upon submitting. A workflow will then use that information in the background.

I am using InfoPath 2013 to customize SP List forms. I am interested in qRules and need to know if these Lists forms need to be published to a Form Library in order for qRules to work?
I've read how you need to create a InfoPath form template before publishing to a Forms Library, but the forms I have are already ...

Of course, I should have remembered that.
Thanks Hilary. You're the best :)

I have created a form in InfoPath Designer 2013. The form is in SharePoint in my XML Forms Library. Then I created a document library. Now, when I'm in my document library and click on “New”, I want the form, which is in the XML library, to be in the suggestions. I want the user to be able to save the form in the document library. In addition, ...
