Hi WCOTech,
Sorry for the delay. It's just code ... so there must be a way.... but I don't have a sample handy and unfortunately, we don't have time to write code for every request. It would be cool if someone got this working although I'm not sure of the scenario. Why not just attach it to your main dom and send the InfoPath form as an ...

Hi SRayBell and welcome to the forum!
I like your approach of using ASP.NET to do Basic Auth and then returning the info. That's cool. What does the ASP.NET code look like?
If you are VPN'ed into the server, then Active Directory Web service is a better way to do this, but that requires Windows Auth.

Hi Noob,
If the SharePoint site is externally visible your users can use Basic authentication to sign in and submit forms. Obviously, the SharePoint site must be externally visible. Web services and direct DB connections are also solutions, but not required.

Hi Thierry,
Microsoft is very much awake and I have some very responsive contacts ... :) Anyway, my guess is that there may be something searchable in the Knowledge Base. The crash reporting page may even have some text.

Hi Andy,
Microsoft investigated this and said the bug would be fixed in SP2 (Service Pack 2). I'm not sure when this is due out, but my guess is soon.

Hi Kip,
I don't think you can declaratively do this by modifying the manifest.xsf, but you can use File->Extract Form Files, close the designer, and open manifest.xsf in notepad. Search for the control.
The other obvious thing to do is to add an OnBeforeChange event handler. Add a condition for Delete operations and return False. InfoPath ...

Hi VT Asparagus,
1. just bind the expression box to a field in your main data source or secondary data source and set the value of that in code (or wherever). Then the expression box will change whenever hte value changes.
2. same thing - just bind to a secondary data source and update this automatically on the fly.
When will you need to ...

Hi Jay,
Yes, there is a ''Shared'' mode for Access. This is described in our book in the chapter on Database Integration. You might have some permissions issue or have some Database column type that is not supported. Any details on the error message?
