    Repeating Table Permissions

How can I Restrict users from deleteing/remove rows in a repeating table.

I want the user to only insert new items and not remove.

In the Properties there is an option "Allow Users to insert and delete rows" this allows both. If I deselect this option User can not insert or delete.

    Thankx in advance

    Hi Kip,

I don't think you can declaratively do this by modifying the manifest.xsf, but you can use File->Extract Form Files, close the designer, and open manifest.xsf in notepad. Search for the control.

The other obvious thing to do is to add an OnBeforeChange event handler. Add a condition for Delete operations and return False. InfoPath will prevent the user from deleting the row, but they will still get the widgets.

A third way to do this is to hide the widgets and add your own buttons that do the insertion. This way it's cleaner because there is no confusing widget.

    Good luck!

Well can do another thing so you do NOT have to code an Insert button. Do this:
    - Open the repeating tables property widow.
    - Leave the Allow users to insert and delete rows checkbox checked
    - Click on the Customize Commands... button
    - In the Table Commands window, there is an Action dropdown. Simply select all of the remove options and clear all of the checkboxes.

Now the repeating table only allows Inserts and you do not have to code anything.

Never tried to remove those. They seem pretty built into InfoPath. Maybe someone else been able to remove them.
