Hi Craig,
I'm wondering if it isn't because he date time is different between the SQL datatypes in SharePoint and the XSD datatypes in InfoPath. I would think string would work but may require special formatting. You may look at the date time format generated when you add a task directly to SQL and see if you can do the same. I'm sure someone else ...

Hi Thierry,
So, you want the XSLT to live in the XSN so that you don't have to deploy both of them. Well, I'm still confused. If you do the steps I mentioned what is the downside? I'm suggesting that you treat it as secondary data (i.e. you could Add XML resoruce as secondary data source and that should be the same thing).
Sorry for ...

Approach #2
Add the code to access the Web service ...

Hi Matt,
Import only works on the Main DOM. Which is what you want, anyway, since you have to persist the data.

Hi Thierry,
Try the other way. Use xdExpression from the view to control the hide/show characteristics of the optional section. xdExpression calls a function in your code that returns true or false. This is the prescribed way to do what you want and you should find various threads and articles with examples if you search on the forum or website. ...

Hi Cajun and MJ Wireless and welcome to our forum,
I think you will have to write code to do this. I will ask one of our engineers to show an example of this.
Thanks
