I'm having trouble understanding the question. This is functionality you have already implemented that is not working correctly? Or functionality you would like to add? Can you attach a sample form showing what you are trying to do? Thanks - you can add a file in a reply under Options. :)

Happy to do that - I'll take care of it right now. :)

How is your form library set up for opening existing forms? are you using the .JS script for classic views, or FormsViewer extensions? It seems to me like the issue may be there - that the URL being opened is incorrect somehow.

I just like a simple schema - but you can certainly add multiple repeating groups. And it is fine for your steps to be in their own sections - this was a simple sample to show you an approach. If you already have groups for each of your steps, you could put a repeating group inside each for the replies for that step and not need to implement the ...

I would use a repeating group for the replies, if there can be more than one. Include a field (not on the form) to let you know what step the reply is for. Then in your form design, you can use conditional formatting to only show replies for step one under step one and so on. Simple sample attached - right click the link in the heading of this ...

Have your SharePoint admins check the ULS logs. It is likely that there is a setting that needs to be changed in Central Admin - there is a setting for allowing UDCX with stored credentials with browser forms: SharePoint Central Admin ->general application settings-> Configure InfoPath Forms Services. Check the box next to Allow embedded SQL ...

One approach I've seen is to put a page break in an optional section and then let the user control that by adding it. It does mean you have to put these where-ever you may think it would need to be used. You can just insert a page break then copy / paste it into an optional section, since InfoPath won't let you actually put one in an ...

I haven't used SharePoint Designer Workflows for a while - but I think the workflow creates a column in the library, right? It looks like that can't be used in a calculated column, however, I just checked that on an old library that I'd had a workflow on. I wonder if in each of your different workflows, you could add a step to check ...

Oh yes, sorry, you had mentioned it worked in preview and I'd already forgotten that. I've done some additional web searches (and I'm sure you have too) but I'm not finding anything that seems applicable. I doubt a SQL Trace would provide any additional info that the logs haven't, but I might try that, just see if there is ...

Ohhhhh. Interesting. Super dumb question - you've verified the user name and password on the SQL 2016 server by logging in with that account? Like, in SSMS, or something? :)
