Perfect, glad they were able to help. Another option sometimes instead of modifying the SQL connection is to use a SQL view that has the data combined. And in case future thread readers want to do this in the source files: https://www.infopathdev.com/blogs/greg/archive/2004/07/08/Display-Multiple-Fields-in-a-Drop_2D00_Down-List-Box.aspx

Thanks Hilary, I am pulling the data from SQL and I had my IT take a look and they found it could concatenated through a editing the SQL in the data connection.

Forget it, I was able to get my IT to take a look and they had me combine both fields through a SQL query in the data connection.

Hi - what is your data source for your dropdown? Is it SQL or SharePoint? The approach mentioned here involves modifying the form's source files for populating the dropdown with a concatenated value which I really don't recommend if there are other alternatives. If your data source is a SharePoint list - the easiest thing to do would be to ...

Hi Patrick, I am trying to find the sample using the search you reference but I am not getting any results back. I would like to accomplish the same thing outlined in this post. Can you help me find the information?

While I have a lot of SharePoint experience, I do not have experience with Workflows. I'm reading an article on support.office.com now, but would you mind pointing me in the right ...

Do you mind attaching your form under the options tab in a reply? Or a simple sample that outlines the issue? Basically, rules fire when a field changes - so if the value being set is the same as the prior value, your rule won't fire again - but it sounds like you have placed rules on all fields involved, which is what I'd expect to work ...

You can then use submit rules to submit to email followed by your submit to your main data connection. But we can continue this conversation in your other post - I think that if it's a ...

Since this is a list form, and you just want a notification sent, I would suggest using SharePoint Workflow for this, if that's an option? Or MS Flow - are you using SharePoint Online, or is this an On-Prem SharePoint server? Do you have access to SharePoint Designer so you can create a workflow for the list?
