Is an error returned in the error node?

InfoPath won't submit to a list out of the box unless you are actually working with a list form. There are some rather long threads on this forum about how to achieve this without writing code - or you can use code or qRules for this.
-
Ah - these are formatting rules. Those are in the view files. I honestly think you are going to be better off just recreating these instead of copying and pasting anything. But you can look in the view xsl files for these. Just search on your rule name.

Rules are on form load and field 2. Save the form locally, right click design and preview.

I usually start in InfoPath designer and select the type of form I intend to use. When I publish, I create the form library as part of the publish process - then I add a submit data connection to the library and publish again.

Yep, there are no rules here. Maybe add one somewhere? I thought you had a bunch of forms you were trying to combine by using various info from form source files? So, I'd guess one of those existing forms does have rules already? Am I not understanding what you are trying to do? Again - I've never tried to copy rules from one form to ...
-
Yeah, customizing a list form has a lot of limitations. That said, I'm not sure why you'd need a group? You can bind a section to any existing field?
-
The rules are in the manifest file - If your XPaths will be the same this might work, but I've not tried this. I've updated existing rules in source files before, but you'll see there is a ruleset ID that is used as a reference that needs to be unique. Search the manifest.xsf for ruleset and you'll quickly see what I mean. :)

I am so sorry this is so very late - but the multiple selection list box is bound to a repeating field. Instead of using another field for this, why not just put the repeating field on your summary page as a bulleted list or something? See attached for a sample, save the file locally, right click and select design to open in design mode.

Oh you bet - repeating nodes (when the design can leverage it) REALLY saves time and effort. As you can see. :)
