Hello saswiss, Unless I'm mistaken, there should no difference in how to do this between a text box and a dropdown box.  How are you accomplishing it with a textbox?

You can use the condition is blank/is not blank to determine whether a file has been attached or not.  You can also specify the Cannot be blank option directly on that field to have the validation handled automatically.

Hi, I am trying to create a rule to disable a button until a file has been attached. What it the best way to do that?. It isn't a simple yes or no value, from what it looks like. I prefer to do this without code, if at all possible. Thanks for your time and help in advance. Mike

Thank you, Found issue. Few people who are using form had multiple things running on their computer and few are having preferences to run in forground. and that is only causing the issue but maintaining cache and few other stuff helped improve.  Thank you again...
