Last » Re: SQL Data to Repeating table returns one row only Can't you use your DeleteSelf command on each of the nodes you've added during the last search when the 'search' button is pressed? I think you would use SelectNodes with an xpath which selects all the EmpData nodes currently in the form and then delete them. Though you probably need to leave at least one (the first one?) ... Posted to Code (Forum) by Skarn on 02-14-2012 Re: extract the field names from the xml of an infopath form To get the specific kind of structured output you have provided the example for (parent\child\grand-child) etc you'll probably have to load the xml file into an XML DOM of some sort and 'walk your way' through it iteratively building the path to each node-field as you go. You could use the nodeName properties. This kind of ... Posted to Code (Forum) by Skarn on 02-12-2012 Re: How can I generate a InfoPath Template pragmatically? Sorry, just have to butt in and giggle at 'pragmatically' making an Infopath template. And also, don't know why you would want to do this - do you mean from scratch? Or are you trying to unpack the template, modify it a little bit, and then repack it? Ok, that's me out, sorry for not really being helpful ;-) Posted to Code (Forum) by Skarn on 02-12-2012 Re: finding which line of repeating table triggered a changed event (infopath 2010 VB) You could Select() the preceding-sibling of the Site XPathNavigator and get a count. Then add one and that's the position of the Site node. I've probably overlooked some simpler way, but it's what comes to mind. Posted to Code (Forum) by Skarn on 02-12-2012 Re: programmatically populating drop down list with data from array ok, cool :-) But...could you have just put a filter on the droplist which only selects the values which contain the text of the filter field? Like what I've attached. Posted to Code (Forum) by Skarn on 02-12-2012 Re: SQL Data to Repeating table returns one row only It looks as though you are reading a list of employee records from an SQL connection and then want to load those into a repeating section/table within your form. I don't see any part of your code which would iterate through the records contained within rdr object. You only do one rdr.Read (so that puts you on the first record). Then you are ... I hadn't tested my reverse method with enough characters *blush*. So at this stage I suggest you decide on a number ... Posted to Newbie Questions (Forum) by Skarn on 01-26-2012 Re: Is it possible to substring the whole word instead of characters in InfoPath I can do this, using rules and no code. Can you please confirm for me if the following is correct. "User types in words, when they move to next field, any words past the #th word are deleted." where # is a number decided by you. Then, if you cross my palm with gol...hehe kidding. Then I'll post an example template. Part of the ... Posted to Newbie Questions (Forum) by Skarn on 01-24-2012 Re: Content Place Holder Text This might be a bit of an 'out there' idea. Set the width of the text box, then in the Placeholder option instead of carriage returns you can space out your words to 'pad' then to the next line. Now, Spaces won't work, Infopath just removes all of them leaving only one. So try holding ALT and typing 255 on your NUMBER PAD ... Posted to Newbie Questions (Forum) by Skarn on 01-24-2012 Re: Checkbox rule added but when unchecked it doesn't remove rule Sounds like you might need 2 rules, one with a condition when the box is checked to add the value to a field, and a second rule with a condition for when the box is unchecked, to subtract the value from the field. Only one rule will activate depending on whether the box is checked or not.
