  • Re: Getting users Username

My situation seems a bit different. I don't have the .NET framework and I am not using sharepoint. I am publishing the forms to our intranet. We have created an ASP (not .NET) app that lists links to the forms and users have access to forms on a departmental basis. I want to access the persons username if possible without a web service, ...

  • Re: OnLoad Event

I was actually able to do it without using the xdExtension, although its probably more coding than needed. dim f6 f6 = XDocument.DOM.selectSingleNode(''//my:myFields/my:field6'').text if f6 = ''true'' then XDocument.DOM.selectSingleNode(''//my:myFields/my:field7'').text = f6 end if grab the value of field6. if it is true then set field7 to ...

Is it possible during the OnLoad Event to have the value of a control checked and if it is equal to true set other controls to read only? can you set a control to read only through code?

  • Re: Multiple HREF

Just out of curiosity, where does infopath keep the cached forms? is there a separate infopath cache or does in use the IE cache? If it is a separate infopath cache this will save me some head aches as my reps could just open the path once while connected to the network it would then cache on their laptops and they could access it when we sent ...

  • Getting users Username

I've been searching through the threads and from what I have read it seems that you can get the current users username. How is this done? Jscript? VBscript? I don't have the .NET framework and have a feeling that this will affect whether or not i can access the users. How would I use system.environment.username

  • Re: Multiple HREF

is the .NET framework needed for all this to work properly? we don't have that so i'm thinking many of the things i want to do with Infopath aren't achievable. I used the /T Yes and then sent the installer and the .xsn to my tester to be installed. I then tried to open the .xsn file that was created through regform and it wouldn't let me open it ...

  • Re: Multiple HREF

OK Patrick, i've installed the SDK and i have been able to create the .js installer(can't do the MSI because we don't have Visual Studio .NET). So what i have been trying is this: I create my form and just save a copy to my C Drive. I also publish a copy to a shared folder on the network where everyone will have access to the form. I then run ...

  • Multiple HREF

Is if possible to have a Infopath xml doc look for a template in two different locations. The reason, we have consultants that are not connected to our internal network. But we would like them to have some of our forms on their laptops. So i was wondering if it was possible to have the xml doc look to see of the template exists on the network if ...
