Yeah, this gets a little tougher. I think you may be able to use a REST connection to get you partway there - http://yourserver/yoursite/_vti_bin/listdata.svc is the URL pattern. This will get back a list of all lists / libraries - but will also include some you don't want...

Oh, maybe? I'd probably keep my pictures in a picture library that I knew everyone could access, add a picture control that uses a link, then set the link. You could have metadata in the pics library and use a secondary data connection to it in order to dynamically get the right pic, so you don't have to have a ton of rules. Here's a ...

Hi, I'm confused, as usual. :) I would personally just have a rule on the field that the dropdown is bound to that has the condition "field is equal to" whatever the value is you need to run the rule for.

Sure - you need to count the rows in the secondary data source. :) So - your multi-select uses a secondary data source, right? Your expression to count all is just to use the count function on the repeating group that you use for the multi-select's options. Attach your form to a reply (under the options tab) if you need a hand.

The command overview located here is for 8.1 and has SendEmail, etc in it: http://www.infopathdev.com/files/folders/qrules/entry90746.aspx
Where is the one you found that is older?

Under the Insert menu in the Ribbon. You can also highlight text and use the Ctrl + k shortcut, I think, like in other Office apps.

Thanks for emailing your template to me - first, I'd try setting postback to "always" on the Start & Stop buttons (see attached screenshots) - I've noticed that seems to address many browser form anomalies. I'm curious about the rule on your submit button that sets Stop to itself? Can you tell me about that?

Do these users have permission to read the DB? Is the form using integrated auth. for these SQL connections, or is there a username / password? When they get errors about data connections, is there a Details button on the error message they can click to get more info on the error?

Not without code, I'm afraid.

Sure. When you set up an email connection, you can include the active view. So, on the active view, add an email button. Submit using the email connection. The To / Cc / Bcc can be set up to use form fields if you want the user to be able to specify who the email goes to.
