Hi Ndesai and welcome to our forum!
Easiest way to do this is to write some code that iterates through the nodes and update the database for those rows that have the value set to true. This is pretty easy to do and should take maybe 10-20 lines of code. Good luck!

Hi Apanlee and welcome to our forum,
Sorry for delay. Have you tried using a footer with the page number in the Word view template? Are you using InfoPath 2003?

Hi Ekzarov,
You have discovered an awful thing indeed. SharePoint 2007 removes this awful thing by using names. In the meantime, we have some tools to migrate or you can manually do it. This is one of the pains of forms migration in SharePoint 2003. If possible, use relative paths or a config so you don't have to hardcode the list GUIDs.

Another option would be to write an xsl and use ImportFiles element in the manifest to add this data via Merge Forms option from the file menu (or via a command line switch to call the /aggregate logic). That's a little nonunintuitive but we use it to send parameters to a form on load.
This problem is most common with the xsd:nil attribute which ...

Hi Jenz,
You have two common questions:
1) How to programmatically load the InfoPath form? Chapter 9 in our book discusses this - there is a ListItems object and you can use HTTP, DAV protocol or the ShP WebService to open them. I prefer just HTTP. You can even just add a link to the xml form stored on the site that will open the form through ...

Yes, you can implement an OnValidate event handler which will be called. You can also write OnBeforeChange and OnAfterChange event handlers. Have fun!

Hi Sandy,
The evaluation version is our beta of Version 2 dated 10/11 of last year. There is a bug in Vista related to the DAV protocol which prevents Vista machines from working with this Web service (Apache and other Web services are broken by the same Vista RTM bug which is documented by MS). We have a workaround for this Vista bug which will ...

Hi Jenz,
You could add a dual submit to the Web service first and then to SharePoint. Or, you could send the entire form as an xml string to the web service and have it archive it in a database or on SharePoint (our Qdabra DBXL accelerator web service does this). You can also use the merge option to display the data onload. That will require a ...

Or, you could say it's a symbiotic affliction! :)
Hey, so meta data in the form (for example active status) isn't the best design practice, but it'll work in a pinch and we have done it in the past ... the alternative is usually too much trouble unless you have a full-blown backend.

The form library fields come from the properties in the XML documents. Saving an XML file to a form library causes a simple XML parser to run to extract the values. If you need to update the values, just use the out-of-box feature to update on save. Go to Tools->Form Options->Columns and add some. Reopen your xml form and save it back to the ...
