Do you want to do this dynamically while the form is running? I think this will be hard. You can programmatically change a secondary data source that is bound to the dropdown, but you'll have to write code to refresh the view. The dropdown is a windows control which is initialized OnLoad. It doesn't update dynamically and there's no easy way to ...

Hi Kamlesh,
If the control is in a section which is displayed based on a condition, I'd say that is dynamic. You can't dynamically change the view at runtime, so you have to do this kind of a trick to make it look dynamic. If this is an xpath issue, please search for ''current preceding-sibling''. If this is not an xpath issue, please reply with more details (i.e. code), so we ...

Microsoft has a performance tuning document for InfoPath. Try searching MSDN. Maybe Greg knows the link.

Hi JSmith,
Can you please post the code in the forum so that others can benefit?

I would look at conditional rules based on user role. I would also look at whether or not the InfoPath version was an evaluation version that had expired.

Hi CSorel,
Thanks for logging this. We're going to look at it now. We will respond to this thread in a couple hours with more information. This is the first time we have seen this error.
Can you please let us know what kind of a machine you are installing it on?
