• Re: Set value Infopath Dropdownlist

Hi Lamine, There are three ways to set the drop-down list values. If you left click on the drop-down control and select properties, you will see the choices available. The first one allows you to enter values manually, the second allows you to get the values from a repeating table on your current form, the third one will need a data ...

  • Re: CAML template question

Hi, Theoretically, using the same CAML mapping for different submit actions to the same list shouldn't be a problem. Just be sure to clear or set values appropriately when submitting, so that items are submitted properly. Without code? I don't think that this is possible. The two methods I use are CAML and qRules (which allows ...

  • Re: Fix Validation Errors Before Running Actions

Hi, This is indeed a tough problem. A workaround I could think of is by using a hidden Boolean field (false by default), and name the field isClicked, and set it to true if the submit button is clicked. After adding this, add a condition to the RevisionCount rule which should only be triggered if isClicked is not equal to true. This way ...

  • Re: Clear/Reset Button

Hi gkeeton, We have a webinar which showed a way how to clear values of fields by modifying the manifest file. Please check this link. Hope this helps.

  • Re: How to bind a calculated field and display as a column

Hi cardinaluk, This happens because of the paths of the fields are different if you use a calculated field. I would suggest setting the default value of the field that is promoted to SharePoint to the formula concat(field2, " ", field3). Is this not possible for you? Regards,

  • Re: Automatic email Generation from Infopath form

Hi D, I would suggest using a substring function to extract the first letter from the first name. Your formula would look similar to this: concat(substring(Name, 1, 1), Surname, "@mycompany.com") Hope this helps,

  • Re: Saving an IP form as a file to SP list, now I need to update fields for that new record

Hi pokihokie, I was able to find a very helpful thread entitled: Update Existing SharePoint List Item via Web Service & CAML from InfoPath. Please check the links which were provided there for more details. Typically, what you need to determine is the ID of the row, query those items, set CMD of the mapping file to Update instead of ...

  • Re: Counting number of months in current fiscal year

Hi Flossie2003, I have tried this before but wasn't able to get a concrete solution, since this is one of the limitations for SharePoint querying. A workaround you can proceed with, if you are dealing with a few forms, is a hide and show technique for the repeating table on your InfoPath form. If you are dealing with a lot of forms, then ...

  • Re: What on earth am I doing wrong.

Hi tplee, We have a webinar which discusses secondary data connections. Typically, what you need for retrieving items from a SharePoint list is a retrieve data connection. At the Data Connection under the Data tab , create a data connection which retrieves data from a SharePoint List. The wizard will then prompt ...

  • Re: Submitting multiple repeating rows from infopath to SharePoint Library

Hi phmytic, qRules doesn't come with InfoPath. You can download a trial though at this link and see what other advantages qRules can provide you with, as it can easily manipulate the data on your form. If not, then you could use other approaches available. The one I am most familiar with is the CAML approach, you can check it out ...
