So - same error when you filled out the form using the controls directly bound to the data source? Can I see another screenshot?

unfortunately that didn't work, i have tried rebuilding the table and that didn't work. any other ideas?

So - try this, just for an experiment. Insert the entire Date__Ward_information repeating node on your form as a repeating section with controls - just anywhere on there, you can easily delete it after testing. I think the issue is related to the binding in the view - you are inserting a new Date__Ward_information node, but not setting any values ...

Could I see a copy of the template? You can also attach that under the options tab to a reply - I can delete it right after downloading it. :) I'm wondering about the repeating patient details section - is that on the form? It looks like there are multiple nested repeating nodes, so I'm wondering if it is something not displayed that is ...

Hmmm. I'm wondering if when you add another section, the repeating table in it has a single blank row - perhaps that is what is causing the error? If it does, and you delete the row, does the submit succeed?  Hi Hilary  thanks for you quick reply.   It says the form cannot be submitted because of an error   InfoPath cannot submit the form. An error occurred while the form was being submitted. Empty row cannot be inserted. Row must have at least one column value set.
