That may be worth a try - you could try it with just two types of Entry - if it works for you, then you could proceed with the others.

One thought I had was to create mapping (and submit data connections) for eacy type of Entry then apply a filters. The one submit button would actually submit new and updates to the list. What do you think?

I think you are getting that error because you have multiple fields mapped to the same column. I was hoping that setting the mapping to not submit Amount / Type unless they had a value would work around that, but apparently not. I'll try this out later today or sometime tomorrow with a tool I use for testing and see if I can come up with a ...

Hello Patrick! Thank you for the response. I am still a bit confused tho. My Customer List is in SharePoint. I have done a lot of work with sections but never a custom one. I have found an External Item Picker but my list is not external. If you could give me a tad bit more info to start me off in the right direction I would appreciate it.

Basically I have a table that has a username and a contactname field which contain an employee identifier. In theory if the username field has a value then the contactname should be blank and vice-versa. In ...

We are in debate between having "SharePoint as Service", meaning just having access to a hosted Site Collection and everything under that, but no access to the server, sql etc....
The other option is having a complete Farm set up with full access to everything. The company is strongly leaning ...

Okay, what I did was make the assumption that only one of the fields mapped to the amount column would be filled out (same with type) and manually added XPath filters to only use the field if it was not blank - give this a try and see if we get any closer.

So, I modified this a little - I'll add more detail in a second post so I can attach a screenshot.
