Oh, check this post, the code sample there may help you... http://www.infopathdev.com/forums/p/801/3094.aspx

Okay - well, it looks like you are using vbscript? I'm more a managed code girl, so probably won't be a ton of help there - you'll need to get the XPath of the field you want to populate - what version of IP are you using?

Hi Jeff,
Thanks for the detailed reply.
I contacted S and he confirmed the inquiry. We have the same customer.
We're very interested in using your control.

Hi Hilary,
Thanks so much for the quick reply.
I don't want to submit to an Access DB, but rather populate the form based on values in the DB. The form I'm trying to populate is used across the organisation in many different areas. The database I'm using to populate the form is used by a select group of people who use the form ...

On your machine, it could find the code files, so it didn't give you any information about code having been added. What I do is put the command and result field on the form, then preview and type GenerateGuid in the command field - ...

I feel a little dumb that I spun my wheels for so long this morning on it, especially since I didn't add any code intentionally. Thank you very much. It looks to be cranking along now.

Well - the root of your issue is that you are dealing with a repeating table.
You have a data source - PurposeCategory. You query it for a given purpose, and get your categories for the first row. The user enters a second row. She selects a different purpose, which returns a different list of categories. If you go click on the category drop down ...
