Thanks for the response, but I am not trying to hide the checkbox, I am trying to hide the message box with the instructions. Well actually it is a table row with the instructions. I do not see a control like a label or such, like you would find in VB.

In InfoPath, you would add a conditional formatting rule on the text:Condition: checkField is not equal to true
Formatting: Hide this control.Any particular reason you posted in this thread? It seems unrelated to your question.

Hi new to Infopath myself. I am working on a shift checklist, and I have added some checkboxes. I also added a text area that has some instructions for a particular task. I want the instructions to be hidden unless a particular checkbox is checked. How do I accomplish that please?

Are you having issues connecting to a database in InfoPath or connecting to multiple databases?

in my infopath for required field textbox i wrote the custom validation. the message i am getting the below way
Please enter valid data for ''. here instead of the '' it should show the control name but it was showing that what could be the reason.

Just getting into Infopath2010 and I've hit the hurdle.
I have a form were a user enters can enter a 8 digit value into a text box. Now depending on a selected drop-down option it will add a number sequence to the beginning of the value in the text box.
