• Output position() in Error ScreenTip

I am using the position() function to display the position in which each row in a repeating table is located in the XML. This is being shown to the user using an Expression Box next to each row. How can I display that position in the screentip of an error (from Data Validation) and/or in the error generated by using the ...

  • Re: User Role Options?

Thanks Jimmy, After getting your answer I researched the xdXDocument:Get-DOM method/function to get a better understanding of it. I just want to get this straight, I drop this expression into a formatting rule in the field I want to enable or disable according to the xml document? I added this expression to a field and changed the ...

  • Re: Dropdown List Box in Repeating Table

In an on before change, the DOM is read only - you need to run your code in a changed event. I feel like I'm not explaining well - and I am kind of at a loss as to how to explain better - I'd hoped the sample form would help. The thing is that your PurposeCategory data source only has the items for the second purpose when you query it ...

Could you clarify where you would expect users to be able to change the font size? I'm afraid I don't really understand your question.

  • Re: User Role Options?

I don't quite understand the example provided, but yes, you can absolutely use an XML data source to look up data. For example, you could check whether the current user is a submitter by using a condition like this:xdXDocument:Get-DOM("Roles")/roles/role[user = currentUserField]/@name = "Approver"<role = ...

  • User Role Options?

Hi, I'm trying to bypass InfoPaths standard user role option due to the fact that it's a first come, first serve basis when dealing with one user in multiple roles. I want to use an xml document to provide the list of names and roles they are in. See the following.... <roles> <role = ...
