I have a request to see if i can fix the following and I am not sure if it is possible with out of the box functionality.
The issue is, when a user deletes an item from a library and it gets restored it starts the workflow over again so a series of emails get kicked off. How do we prevent this on restore?

What I did was create 2 fields at the top of the form that can be changed as needed. Depending on the year the selection falls I pull from one or the other fields and store it in a hidden field. The calculation then uses this hidden field for its calculation. I needed to do this as ...

If it's a SharePoint List form, I would check the SharePoint list itself, to see the data types for the columns. If could be that there's a column limited to 255 characters (for example). I'm attaching a screenshot.
