OK, from what I can tell from extensive searching, it looks like the issue is with SharePoint, most likely a permissions issue due to the root path having an explicit inclusion type. I think this causes authentication issues in the data connection UDC file.
Any ideas on how to get around this?

I have a fairly simple infopath form with several drop down fields - I'd like to be able to edit these fields in the datasheet view of library. I've given them the proper permissions so that I can edit them in datasheet view, and am able to edit, but found that some of the fields retained a drop down list in the datasheet, ...

I am trying to have the Save and Submit button do two differnt things in an InfoPath list form. I want a user to be able to save the item to the list if they are not ready to submit the form. If the form is complete and they are ready to submit, it should go to a library. I am able to get submit to work correctly, but ...

"An erro occurred while trying to connect to a Web Service". The log ID is 5566. It was a different number earlier.
I'll keep looking.

2013-02-08 08:00:00
This means that the T is replaced with a space.
We typically add a second field (where the T is replaced ...

First thing to do is to look at the Design Checker in InfoPath which should tell you if there's an issue.
My guess is that it has to do with the GetUserProfileService service existing on a separate machine in the same domain (because you have multiple front ends?). If so, try converting the data connectoin to UDC and see if that fixes it.

OK, I reworked it and am now getting a different error that revolves around dates. I can save to the date field in either a Date Only format or a Date and Time format. But when I grab that default date from SharePoint and try to save it back to the list unchanged I get an invalid date error. You helped me solve a similar issue when saving dates ...
