Hi,
I have a filler form that I am publishing as a content type. Submitting is a big problem as I want to submit to the same Library its in. I tried http://blogs.msdn.com/b/infopath/archive/2006/11/08/submitting-to-this-document-library.aspx?PageIndex=5#comments. but most of them either work for Browser based forms or for non-content type ...

InfoPath has a function to add days to a date, but nothing built in for calculating the differences between them. qRules can do this for you (and much more) if a third party tool is allowable in your environment. Otherwise, I have seen some rule-based date calculations - here's a sample form that someone posted the other day while we were ...

Not without writing code or using qRules (free trial here) - and your form will have to be full trust. I'd also like to mention - that if your XML is in two locations (on the desktop and in SharePoint) you have a data integrity risk - what if someone else opens from SharePoint, makes changes and saves? Now your local XML is out of sync - you ...

This is an interesting question - I did a quick search to see if there were some specific parameters to use that would force PDFs to open in the browser rather than download, and I'm not finding anything - it seems to be a user setting. Are you including the page number in the URL? i.e. - http://www.URL.com/FILENAME.pdf#page=5

Hi - you'll need to use a condition on the rule to show the message that uses preceding-sibling. Here's a link to a sample form with some preceding-sibling formulas that may get you started.

Thanks for the reply Ernesto. Unfortunately, I first encountered the 7893 error after I had gone through the tutorial and built everything from scratch. I'll go back to square one and see if the URL to the form is constructed properly.
I'll keep you posted.

Actually I think the problem is that I was trying to declare a format validation for the button using one of the limitations within the button's properties. Let me explain: as noted above, I was putting the "does not contain "Smith"" rule within the button. The validation was not working. Now, when the validation is between ...

using c# I have found either of the following are identical. Because I am submitting to sql I had to account for single ticks so I added a string replace
XPathNavigator root = CreateNavigator();
string myxml = root.OuterXml.Replace("'", "''");
string myIxml = root.InnerXml.Replace("'", ...

Hi All,
I have a repeating table, in that one drop down is there with the categories of 'a.b,c,d' etc. Think that Initially user selected the 'a' category. If he selects the same category again, I have to show a error message. How can I achieve this.
Thanks
