I have a second infopath form that is a Project Status report. I need a second form because there are multiple ...

Hi - well, if you are displaying data from a secondary data connection, you can't make changes to that data - that is, when the data source is re-queried, any changes you made will be overwritten. Your XML file you get when you save your form will only ever include data from the main data source.

  • Re: Rules to run on Repeating Table in Infopath 2010

So - are you querying the list when the customer field changes? Setting the query Customer field to the Customer and then executing the query? I'd drag my secondary data source onto the form so I could see it (temporarily, easy enough to delete it when you are done) and see what the data I'm getting back is - if you are returning all the ...

  • Re: How to re-enable a previously disabled control via conditional formatting?

Well - I mean - if having a field filled and a checkbox checked hides the control, clearing the field or unchecking the checkbox should unhide it. If you right click the checkbox and look at the properties, what are the cleared and checked values? It seems like setting that field to false should do it - usually checkboxes are bound to Booleans, ...

  • Re: Infopath Form with Code Loading slow

Is this a browser form or a filler form? Is it slow whether you are opening a large or small XML? Are there any open rules that may be slowing things down? Rules runs before code - so if you have an open rule that loads a really big secondary data source if the form is not new, for example, that could have an impact here.

  • Re: Repeating table issue

You need to add a filter to the rule or default value you are using for populating your second field, I believe - if you already have a filter, it may not be using current() to indicate the instance of field1 in the current row. Does that make sense? Here's a link to a little blog post on this.

  • Re: Setting Fiscal Years in InfoPath

You'll probably want to use rules then, instead of default values. I'd put them in the form open rules. I'd only add rules for setting "this" FY - then put a rule on that field to set "next" FY. I've attached a sample. Save it locally, right click and open in design mode. Preview - you can change your sytem date ...

  • Re: Limiting data loaded into a repeating table

Well - when you say you want the repeating table to populate - is your control bound to your secondary data source? Or are you trying to copy the repeating data into your main data source? If this is a control bound to your secondary data source, you can use conditions to hide rows. If this is an InfoPath 2010 form, your list data connection will ...
